IT System Engineer - Modern Workplace Strategy

About the Role

We are seeking an IT System Engineer to join our team at Schülke & Mayr, focusing on Modern Workplace and Client Strategy. This IT System Engineer remote position offers the chance to shape the future of our IT infrastructure, ensuring a modern and efficient workplace for our employees.

What You'll Do

• Define global hardware selection and develop modern deployment scenarios such as Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager.
• Establish a sustainable governance framework and create policies (SOPs) to ensure smooth operational processes.
• Design future-proof architectural concepts and manage the long-term technological roadmap of the Modern Workplace.
• Lead complex IT projects from conception to rollout, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.
• Oversee security strategies in the client environment, focusing on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Define and monitor relevant KPIs to manage service quality and act as 3rd Level Support for complex inquiries.

Requirements

• Deep experience in the design and administration of Microsoft Intune across various platforms (Windows, iOS/macOS, Android).
• Solid knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) and modern cloud infrastructures, with a mindset free from "On-Premise Thinking".
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Defender Suite (MDE) for securing modern endpoints.
• Strategic thinking ability to translate operational requirements into scalable standards and clear processes.
• Experience in project management and creating technical documentation at the enterprise level.
• Strong communication skills to bridge strategy, security, and operations effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-native technologies and practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
• Knowledge of additional security tools and practices.
