Art Director Intern - Creative Marketing Agency

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Art Director Intern to join Bonneville Communications, a leading advertising agency. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to work both remotely and in our Salt Lake City office, starting May 12, 2026, and extending through August 14, 2026. As an Art Director Intern, you will immerse yourself in the creative world of advertising, contributing to innovative campaigns that make a difference.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with an Art Director Mentor to develop exceptional creative concepts that effectively promote client messages and causes.
• Engage in ideation and execution of creative assignments, assisting your mentor as needed.
• Prepare and present pitches for both internal and client-facing meetings.
• Work on portfolio development to showcase your creative skills.
• Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of art direction within the advertising industry.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, graphic design, or a related field, or a recent graduate (within the last year).
• Familiarity with conceptual thinking in advertising.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your creative work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a creative internship or related position.
• Knowledge of current advertising trends and techniques.
