Analytics Engineering Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineering Lead to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our data's 'source of truth', leading a team dedicated to transforming raw data into actionable insights. What You'll Do

• Lead the Analytics Engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting individual career growth.
• Design, develop, and maintain centralized Looker semantic models (LookML) to ensure data governance and accessibility.
• Establish and manage robust version control and deployment pipelines in GitLab for the semantic layer.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to define table structures that optimize analytical performance.
• Identify manual workflows and automate them using Python scripts and API integrations.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of Looker, including Semantic Layer, LookML, and Looker administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD principles, and data modeling methodologies.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a team in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Looker API and migrating from other tools to Looker.
• Familiarity with AI Agents in conversational analytics.
• Intermediate knowledge of dbt.
