AI-Native Performance Technical Program Manager - Remote

Figma is excited to announce an opening for an AI-Native Performance Technical Program Manager (TPM) remote. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of design and collaboration. As a key player in our team, you will own performance prevention, diagnostics, and safe rollout for both our flagship products and next-gen AI features. What You'll Do

• Own horizontal, high-visibility performance programs that span flagship product performance and AI features.
• Manage performance metrics including load times, FPS, memory, and model inference latency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure observability and telemetry are integrated into our processes.
• Lead regression prevention initiatives and oversee safe rollout of AI capabilities.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines to enhance product reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering, performance TPM, platform TPM, or SRE.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing including load, stress, and scalability testing.
• Deep familiarity with web performance metrics such as FCP and LCP.
• Experience with CI/CD and test automation.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and autoscaling.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MLops or LLMs, focusing on inference latency tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with observability stacks such as Datadog or Sentry.
• Background as a performance engineer with contributions to code or test harnesses.
