About the Role

We’re looking for an AI/ML Research Engineer to join our innovative team at Orfium. This AI/ML Research Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence projects. You will be responsible for building and evaluating models while delving deeply into research and analyzing academic literature. What You'll Do

• Design and develop novel AI models and ML algorithms focusing on state-of-the-art AI research.
• Benchmark current solutions and define the baseline of models and processes.
• Lead projects with an impact-driven approach, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Conduct in-depth research to identify new approaches and techniques in AI and ML.
• Analyze complex datasets to extract valuable insights that drive decision-making.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Create comprehensive reports of experiments and analyses to share findings.
• Publish research findings in academic journals or conferences, contributing to the AI/ML community.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in AI projects.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and high-throughput systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project ownership.
• Good communication skills to present findings effectively and collaborate with team members.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience with big data is a plus.

Nice to Have

• MEng or MSc (or PhD) in AI/Machine Learning or a related field.
• Experience in a cloud-native environment (preferably AWS).
• Previous publications in AI/ML research.
