Actuarial Analyst - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and actuarial knowledge to contribute to pricing strategies and portfolio performance analysis. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring data governance and automation in reporting processes.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expertise in analysis and reporting processes through automation and documented procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic and ad-hoc reports on pricing analysis and portfolio performance.
  • Monitor data for cleanup actions and collaborate cross-functionally with Pricing, Underwriting, and IT teams.
  • Support the actuarial team in developing and adapting pricing models by providing clean data and specific analyses.
  • Design, test, and implement automated pipelines for pricing and reporting using tools like R, Python, SQL, and Dataiku.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop internal reports and monitor the effectiveness of implemented pricing changes.
  • Formulate recommendations based on portfolio analysis to reduce risks and eliminate unprofitable clients.
  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for management and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Cybernetics, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in actuarial work, particularly in Pricing for non-life insurance.
  • Knowledge of statistical and actuarial tools (R, Python, Excel) is an advantage.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present complex analyses and results clearly and concisely.
  • Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Postgraduate studies or relevant courses in actuarial science.
  • Experience with Dataiku or Earnix.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices.
