Large Loss Lawyer - Complex Injury (Hybrid Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Large Loss Lawyer - Complex Injury to join our esteemed team at Davies. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a hybrid remote environment, with a minimum of one day in the office. You will handle high-value personal injury claims, supporting a Lead Lawyer on catastrophic injury matters exceeding £1 million while managing your own caseload of multi-track Employer Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), and Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims valued up to £1 million.

What You'll Do

• Manage a caseload of complex multi-track injury claims, typically up to £1 million.
• Assist on catastrophic injury claims exceeding £1 million.
• Advise insurer clients on liability, indemnity, and quantum.
• Draft key legal documents, including defenses and counter-schedules.
• Analyze complex medical and liability evidence.
• Work closely with clients, counsel, and medical experts.
• Attend mediations, Joint Settlement Meetings (JSMs), client meetings, and site visits.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with experience handling defendant personal injury claims.
• Experience managing multi-track or higher value claims (minimum £500K).
• Strong understanding of litigation practice and Civil Procedure Rules.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Desirable: Experience in group litigation or claims against the police.
