About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This full-time position is located in Linthicum, Maryland, and is not a remote work opportunity. As a Windows Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of our systems while supporting a large classified government contract. What You'll Do
- Act as the primary Windows Systems Administrator, ensuring the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing support and solutions to their needs.
- Perform system enhancements, including installation, upgrading, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Manage file systems, disk space, and virus protection, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must possess a current DoD Secret level security clearance or higher.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and server management.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
Nice to Have
- Red Hat certification for the current version.
- Understanding of basic networking, including subnets and routing.
- Experience with VMware and SAN storage systems.
