Victim Caseworker - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
Catch22 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Victim Caseworker to join our Norfolk & Suffolk Victim Care Service (NSVCS). This remote Victim Caseworker position is essential in providing tailored, trauma-informed support to victims and witnesses of crime, helping them cope and recover after facing a crime. You will play a critical role in guiding victims through the criminal justice process, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
What You'll Do
- Provide practical and emotional support to victims, helping them regain confidence.
- Build strong relationships with victims and coordinate referrals with police, CPS, and other agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and promote a joined-up approach to service delivery.
- Assess individual needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Share timely updates on criminal proceedings and address safeguarding concerns appropriately.
Requirements
- Educated to a good standard, including GCSE-level English and Maths (minimum).
- Experience working with highly vulnerable individuals.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and deliver tailored interventions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- IT literate with experience using case management or data systems.
Nice to Have
- Professional qualification relevant to working with under-supported people.
- Knowledge of restorative principles and their application.
