Mechanical Design Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Technician to join our team at O-I Glass. This remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in mechanical design while being part of a global leader in glass packaging. With over a century of experience, O-I Glass is committed to producing high-quality glass packaging for some of the most recognized brands in the food and beverage industry.

What You'll Do

• Design molding equipment for testing and production in accordance with current standards and best practices to ensure product quality.
• Provide responsive technical assistance to production issues to support continuous improvement in cost/quality performance.
• Promote standardization and inter-site alignment to reduce costs.
• Collaborate with design offices and production sites across Europe.
• Utilize 3D design software, ideally Creo/ProEng, to create efficient designs.

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical design with a DUT in Mechanical Engineering or a Professional License in Digital Chain Design or Mechanical Study Engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D design software, preferably Creo/ProEng.
• Strong teamwork skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Methodical and rigorous execution capabilities.
• Intermediate English language skills for technical dialogue with factories.
