About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Upper School English Instructor to join our team in a remote capacity. As an Upper School English Instructor, you will help strengthen school culture through your role in the classroom, investing deeply in students, faculty, and families. What You'll Do

  • Lead students toward a deeper knowledge of God and His truth by teaching English with excellence.
  • Integrate a biblical worldview into your teaching and foster a Christ-centered learning environment.
  • Design instruction with clear learning goals and aligned assessments to create meaningful, differentiated learning experiences.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth and actively participate in professional learning communities (PLCs) and school activities.
  • Build positive relationships and a supportive classroom climate while maintaining consistent behavioral expectations.
  • Use engaging instructional strategies and appropriate technology to maximize learning time.
  • Communicate clear criteria for proficiency and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Analyze data to inform instruction and provide targeted student support in collaboration with Learning Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
  • Teaching experience strongly valued.
  • Willingness to share Christian testimony and disciple students.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with required CPA technology platforms.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day, and respond quickly in emergencies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction techniques.
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and data analysis.
