Technical Design & Delivery Lead - Water Infrastructure (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Design & Delivery Lead for our Water Infrastructure projects, with a focus on the Waikato region. This remote role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on local water solutions while leveraging AECOM's global expertise. You will be a key player in leading technical delivery and ensuring project excellence across critical water infrastructure initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership and delivery assurance for three water infrastructure projects, including water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government and regional council clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with global technical teams to apply innovative water solutions tailored to local needs.
- Support project delivery excellence through technical verification, design governance, and risk management.
- Mentor and develop local team members, fostering a culture of technical learning and growth.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in planning, design, and delivery of water infrastructure projects, preferably in New Zealand.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) designation or equivalent international accreditation.
- Strong client relationship management skills with established networks in the Waikato region.
- In-depth knowledge of NZ water and infrastructure standards, particularly local requirements.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and deliver on critical project requirements.

- Familiarity with advanced water treatment technologies and sustainable practices.
