Tech Lead Retail Banking - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Tech Lead Retail Banking to join our dynamic team at DKB. This Tech Lead Retail Banking remote position is an exciting opportunity to shape the digital banking experience for over 5 million customers. You will be responsible for the technical vision and architecture of our Banking App and Web App, ensuring a seamless digital banking experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead five teams with clear accountability, including four Product Teams focused on Mobile and Web features and one Platform Team dedicated to Developer Experience.
• Implement effective engineering practices such as CI/CD, Testing, and Observability to enhance productivity and reduce technical debt.
• Collaborate within the Product Trio, providing technical insights and managing trade-offs between risk, time-to-market, and sustainability.
• Manage dependencies and risks across teams, ensuring transparency in architecture and compliance requirements.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages team growth, responsibility, and collaboration.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in a corporate, FinTech, consulting, or tech environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and modern engineering practices, including AWS, Java/Kotlin, Swift, CI/CD, and security by design.
• Proven experience leading multiple cross-functional teams, with a focus on outcomes and measurable results.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in both German and English.
