Support Worker - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join Dee's Group. This Support Worker role offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and their families by delivering personalized health and social care. As a Support Worker, you will provide hands-on support in all aspects of daily living, ensuring that those you support can lead fulfilling lives. This position is available for both day and night shifts, with a competitive pay rate of £14.00 per hour, translating to an annual earning potential of £34,000.00. What You'll Do
- Follow individual support plans and risk assessments, escalating changes to the Team Leader or Manager as necessary.
- Support individuals in making decisions and having choices about their lives, while encouraging them to take appropriate risks.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping, and maintaining a clean home according to individual preferences.
- Provide support for personal care needs, including washing, bathing, and medication administration.
- Engage with individuals in community activities, appointments, and leisure pursuits to enhance their quality of life.
- Act as a key worker, ensuring that experiences and quality of life are regularly reviewed and improved.
- Participate in daily handovers, sharing key information about the individuals you support.
- Maintain accurate records and report any safeguarding concerns or incidents promptly.
Requirements
- Compassionate and dedicated attitude towards supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Full UK manual driver’s license is essential for driving mobility cars.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Nice to Have
- Experience with community engagement and support activities.
- First aid training or relevant certifications.
- Previous experience in health and social care settings.
