About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Summer Special Events Intern to join the Customer Experience team at the World Trade Center. This remote internship will allow you to gain hands-on experience in event planning and management while contributing to meaningful initiatives. As a Summer Special Events Intern, you will have the chance to enhance your skills in strategic communication and event production, making this a valuable addition to your career journey.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in planning, producing, and managing a variety of events throughout the summer.
  • Work closely with the Site Wide Property Management Team to manage events on-site.
  • Coordinate ancillary support services provided by consultants and contractors during the event cycle.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding event-related notifications.
  • Collaborate with digital and social teams to prepare event marketing and promotions, and capture post-event statistics.
  • Assist the Special Events Manager with the permitting process for film and photo requests from stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Special Events Manager and CX Program Manager.
  • Proactively implement new concepts and ideas for programming opportunities.

Requirements

  • Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship.
  • Major in Event/Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience coordinating or managing various events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
