Privacy Enterprise Counsel - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Privacy Enterprise Counsel - Remote to join OpenAI’s Privacy Legal team. This role supports OpenAI’s B2B business by building clear, scalable approaches to privacy and data governance across enterprise use cases. As a Privacy Enterprise Counsel - Remote, you will focus on developing and maintaining core privacy processes, documentation, and positions, including international data transfers, data flow mapping, governance artifacts, and OpenAI’s role in relation to personal data in enterprise scenarios.

What You'll Do

• Support enterprise privacy initiatives by mapping data flows and advising on processorship and controllership scenarios.
• Maintain data transfer mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses and transfer impact assessments.
• Respond to enterprise customers’ privacy inquiries and identify recurring customer requests.
• Draft and expand publicly available information and controls for enterprise customers.
• Contribute to internal guidance materials and support privacy aspects of commercial agreements.
• Assist in privacy risk assessments for enterprise deployments and cross-border processing.
• Collaborate closely with the legal team, sales, security, and engineering departments.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with 6–10+ years PQE or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise in EU privacy and data protection law, particularly GDPR implementation.
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or AI products and working with enterprise customers.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of non-EU privacy laws and experience with privacy-enhancing technologies.
