About the Role
The ACLU is seeking a Summer 2026 Undergraduate Social Media Intern to join our Communications and Marketing department. This internship can be remote or hybrid, allowing you to gain valuable experience while contributing to the ACLU's mission of defending civil liberties. As a Social Media Intern, you will assist in creating engaging content across various platforms, helping to amplify our message and engage with supporters.
What You'll Do
- Produce social media content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Assist social media editors in scheduling content, especially during rapid response moments.
- Prepare analytics reports with guidance from social media managers.
- Research and measure the performance of content across platforms.
- Collaborate with the social media team to develop creative strategies for audience engagement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student or equivalent experience.
- Experience using TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter for professional, academic, or extracurricular purposes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to advancing the mission of the ACLU and promoting equity and inclusion.
