About the Role

Western Governors University (WGU) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for Applied AI Engineering to join our team remotely. This role is designed for individuals with a strong background in AI and software engineering who are looking to contribute their expertise to our fact-check project. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational content we provide to our students in the field of Applied AI Engineering.

What You'll Do

• Provide expert knowledge and insights for the development of AI Engineering courses.
• Conduct fact-checking for the Natural Language Processing course of study.
• Participate in six 1-hour meetings to discuss project progress and deliverables.
• Collaborate with other experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of course materials.
• Utilize your experience in Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning to enhance course content.
• Work independently as an Independent Contractor, managing your time effectively.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, computer science, or data science.
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including but not limited to Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning.
• Strong skills in full product integration for AI products.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Interest in remote work opportunities in Development & Programming.

Nice to Have

• Experience in educational content development.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms.
• Previous experience as a Subject Matter Expert.
