About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Network Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This remote Staff Network Engineer position offers the chance to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. You will be involved in designing and planning network communication systems, troubleshooting network faults, and maintaining technical expertise in various network technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Design and plan network communication systems, providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate network faults and failures in a LAN/WAN environment.
  • Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance network capabilities.
  • Maintain technical expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently to ensure mission success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years, or a PhD with 8+ years.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with an adjudicated full-scope polygraph at the time of application.
  • Security+ certification is required.
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 20%.
  • Experience with designing additions to a large network.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of firewall hardware and software.
  • Experience with CISCO routers and switches.
  • Familiarity with COMSEC equipment.
  • Linux and Windows knowledge.
