About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, document, integrate, test, and debug software for embedded systems.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, and Hardware in an Agile environment.
- Analyze system capabilities and resolve issues related to programming techniques and controls.
- Utilize your expertise in C++ programming to enhance software performance and reliability.
- Integrate low-level firmware and software in complex real-time multi-threaded embedded applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 10 years; or a PhD with 8 years.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required at the time of application.
- Expertise in C++ programming and experience with Xilinx platforms (Ultrascale+ MPSoC or VERSAL).
- Proficient in Object Oriented programming and the formal software lifecycle process.
- Experience in developing and debugging embedded real-time systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Software Defined Radios.
- Familiarity with Xilinx tools (Vitis, Vivado).
- Experience leading a software team and familiarity with Linux kernel driver development.
