In this remote Staff Data Scientist position, you will innovate and enhance our machine learning models, which are crucial for making efficient and accurate financial decisions.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that solve practical problems and help our business and customers achieve their financial goals.
• Collaborate with business leaders and technical experts across the company to develop new data sources and improve modeling methodologies.
• Apply sound risk management practices while implementing models in production systems.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
• Utilize the PyData stack (NumPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas) and other emerging tools such as Spark, Kubernetes, and MLFlow.

Requirements

• PhD in a quantitative field with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a BS/MS in a quantitative field with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in creating, deploying, and managing supervised learning models in production.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset and overcome real-world challenges.
• Solid fundamentals in software engineering practices, including test-driven development and code review.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer lending or fintech.
• Interest in developing neural network architectures for time series classification tasks.
