Staff Cybersecurity Systems Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. What You'll Do
- Author and review requirement decomposition, derivation, and flow down for cybersecurity systems.
- Implement and review traceability of requirements throughout a specification tree architecture.
- Support the architecture and design of baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections.
- Document and review traceability of requirements to the design and its models.
- Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance and oversight to technical teams.
- Review and assess stakeholder security objectives, protection needs, and security requirements.
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities and susceptibility to lifecycle disruptions and threats.
- Maintain cybersecurity program documentation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) package documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years, Master’s degree with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, or related fields.
- Direct experience utilizing NIST 800-160 system security engineer and the system development lifecycle.
- Current DoD 8570 certification for IASAE Level II (CISSP) and ability to obtain IASAE Level III within 6 months of hire.
- Active Secret clearance is required to be considered.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a Model-Based System Engineering environment.
- Familiarity with Systems Security Engineering documentation.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
