Staff Cybersecurity Systems Engineer - Remote Opportunities
About the Role
Join Northrop Grumman as a Staff Cybersecurity Systems Engineer in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the implementation of cybersecurity survivability attributes in system designs, contributing to revolutionary systems that impact lives globally.
What You'll Do
- Author and review requirement decomposition, derivation, and flow down.
- Implement and review traceability of requirements throughout a spec tree architecture.
- Support the architecture and design of baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections.
- Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance and oversight to technical teams.
- Review and assess stakeholder security objectives, protection needs, and concerns.
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities and susceptibility to lifecycle disruptions, hazards, and threats.
- Document and maintain cybersecurity program documentation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) package documentation.
- Guide the development of verification efforts to ensure cybersecurity protections are functional and effective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years, Master’s degree with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, or related fields.
- Direct experience utilizing NIST 800-160 system security engineer and the system development life cycle.
- Active Secret clearance is required to be considered.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
- Current DoD 8570 certification for IASAE Level II (CISSP) and ability to obtain IASAE Level III within 6 months of hire.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a Model Based System Engineering Environment.
- Familiarity with Systems Security Engineering (SSE) documentation.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
