Staff AI Solutions Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff AI Solutions Engineer to join our team at Checkr, where you will play a pivotal role in driving AI enablement and solutions engineering across all departments. This remote Staff AI Solutions Engineer position allows you to leverage your technical expertise while empowering others to harness the power of AI. You will be instrumental in understanding team-specific requirements, configuring AI tools, and developing bespoke AI-powered solutions that scale across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Gather requirements and enablement: Collaborate with internal teams to understand workflows, identify high-impact AI use cases, and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.
• Lead office hours and hackathons: Facilitate recurring AI office hours and design company-wide hackathons to inspire experimentation and knowledge sharing.
• AI tool configuration and evaluation: Evaluate and recommend AI tools and platforms, staying updated on the evolving AI landscape.
• Build bespoke AI solutions: Design and deploy custom AI solutions tailored to team needs, utilizing LLMs, RAG architectures, and automation frameworks.
• Create resources and artifacts: Develop reusable playbooks, prompt libraries, and how-to guides that enable teams to adopt AI effectively.
• Templatize AI workflows: Implement standardized AI workflows that can be adapted across multiple teams, driving consistency and scalability.
• Training and teaching: Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops to enhance AI fluency organization-wide.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineers, business systems, and other AI Solutions Engineers to integrate AI technologies into existing systems.
• Strategic planning and roadmapping: Contribute to the AI strategy and roadmap, aligning initiatives with business priorities.
• Communicate and evangelize: Present findings and advocate for AI adoption with stakeholders at all levels.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is a plus.
• 5-7+ years of experience in engineering or solutions engineering roles, with a proven track record of deploying solutions that enhance productivity.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing AI-centric products, including machine learning and generative AI.
• Deep proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks like LangChain and OpenAI API.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable plans.
• Strong communication skills to make complex AI concepts accessible to diverse audiences.
