Solutions Engineer - Cloud Data Optimization (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team at DoiT, focusing on Cloud Data Optimization. This remote Solutions Engineer position is based in the UK and will play a crucial role in our Solutions Engineering team across the EMEA region. As a Solutions Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery to help our customers optimize their cloud data platforms and achieve significant cost savings and performance improvements.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the Account Executive team to understand prospects’ technical environments and cost challenges, ensuring a thorough technical qualification process.
• Lead technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) exercises for SELECT, managing POC preparations and demonstrating clear value to prospects.
• Deliver tailored platform demonstrations that effectively showcase the capabilities of SELECT, addressing specific use cases and concerns of potential customers.
• Develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses that articulate the tangible value and performance improvements achievable with SELECT.
• Become the go-to expert for SELECT within the company, ensuring optimal results and a seamless implementation experience for prospects.
• Take ownership of the technical win for SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through the evaluation process and building confidence in the solution.
• Represent DoiT at industry events and conferences, delivering engaging presentations that highlight our expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery optimization.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for R&D teams, advocating for customer needs in roadmap discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineering role within a B2B SaaS environment, with a focus on Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Data Platforms and associated best practices, particularly in cost management and optimization.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and translate observations into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience presenting to executive-level prospects and customers on critical topics related to Cloud Data Platforms.
• Proven track record in competitive sales environments, with experience in modern technical selling methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience as a Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery data engineer or architect.
• Experience with FinOps practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with modern cloud technologies and trends.
