About the Role

We're hiring a Software Engineer - Returns System to join our innovative team at Happy Returns. This fully remote position offers you the chance to transform the online shopping experience by making returns effortless and enjoyable for millions of shoppers. As a Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing systems that enhance reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of implementing and delivering new features using modern languages and frameworks like Golang, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL.
  • Participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our returns system.
  • Enforce clean code practices by conducting thorough code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business goals into technical solutions.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools to streamline coding, debugging, and testing processes.
  • Support system health through testing, monitoring, and debugging to achieve our mission of making returns beautiful for shoppers and retailers.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in full stack web application development.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing REST APIs.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Strong interest in working collaboratively with Product Managers, DevOps, and QA Engineers.
  • Curiosity and adaptability to explore new technologies and tools.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with server-side languages such as Go or Python.
