Software Engineer Intern - AI Tools & Development

About the Role

We're hiring a Software Engineer Intern to join our team at LogicGate. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI tools and gain hands-on experience in software development. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to enhancing our AI GRC platform. This role is ideal for college students or recent graduates looking to kickstart their careers in technology.

What You'll Do

• Gain a wide breadth of knowledge in the entire LogicGate tech stack.
• Learn and utilize AI tools, such as Claude Code, to accelerate the development process.
• Work closely with experienced software engineers to establish solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Write tests to facilitate an efficient development cycle and ensure a reliable application.
• Collaborate with a small team to implement new ideas and features.
• Engage in cross-functional work with LogicGate’s entire organization.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a planned graduation of Spring or Summer 2026, or recently completed a software engineering bootcamp.
• Experience using a modern programming language such as Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to work hybrid out of our Chicago HQ 2-4 days per week.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Slack, GitLab, and G Suite.
• Knowledge of backend technologies like Spring Boot, Java, Kotlin, and Neo4j.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, SCSS, and HTML.
• Understanding of cloud operations with AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Docker.
