About the Role

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer - Infrastructure (Remote) to join our team at Camunda. As a leader in enterprise agentic automation, we are dedicated to orchestrating complex business processes and delivering trusted AI agents for business-critical operations. This role offers you the chance to make a real impact while working remotely.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build, maintain, and release C8 distributions for our self-managed customers, covering Helm Charts (Kubernetes), C8Run, Docker Compose, and related documentation.
  • Improve reliability and usability of our deployment artifacts, ensuring a seamless experience from local setups to production clusters and day-2 operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Development Teams, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Documentation, and Support to deliver integrated, tested, and documented releases.
  • Handle engineering-level support cases together with our support team to understand our customers' issues and feed learnings back into development.
  • Drive documentation and onboarding improvements, turning complex systems into clear, accessible instructions that help customers succeed faster.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in building, operating, and maintaining Helm Charts; deploying applications on Kubernetes; implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions; and managing infrastructure as code, e.g., through Terraform.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively across teams.
  • A pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving.
  • You thrive as a manager of one - you build it, you own it - and take pride in delivering maintainable, operable software.

Nice to Have

  • Experience running and operating on-prem/self-hosted software on Docker.
  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability tools.
  • Working knowledge of the Go programming language.

Who Will Succeed Here
