Software Engineer II - Cloud SIEM Solutions

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer II remote to join our Cloud SIEM team at Sumo Logic. In this role, you will contribute to our innovative Cloud SIEM platform, which provides comprehensive security visibility and analytics for modern cloud and hybrid environments. As a Software Engineer II remote, you will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to deliver real-time threat detection and incident response.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable cloud services for our Cloud SIEM platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that enhance our security solutions.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of services by identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation through best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster growth.
• Mentor junior engineers, helping them develop their technical skills and advance their careers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our products remain cutting-edge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development.
• Working experience in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Scala, Java, Python, or Go.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
