About the Role

Optasia is seeking a Software Engineer to join our innovative team in the Fintech sector. This Software Engineer remote position will involve working on our B2B2X financial technology platform that focuses on scoring, financial decisioning, disbursement, and collection. What You'll Do

• Engage in the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of our microloan provisioning platform.
• Work with a team to handle millions of loan transactions daily, ensuring efficiency, performance, and quality in software development.
• Utilize technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, microservices architecture, and various tools including JMS, REST Web Services, and Docker Swarm.
• Collaborate with team members to see products through all phases of their life cycle.
• Contribute to the development of secure code following guidelines such as OWASP and NIST.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in back-end platform development with solid programming skills in the Spring Framework.
• Knowledge of relational database technology; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team-working mentality.
• A passion for learning new technologies and collaborating with creative minds.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with attention to detail.

• Experience with secure code development practices.
