About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our Early Career Program at Affirm. This Software Engineer remote position is perfect for recent graduates with a computer science or related major who are eager to leverage their skills to drive real-world impact in the finance sector. What You'll Do

• Work collaboratively with your team on tasks that contribute to the team’s projects and goals.
• Engage in proactive communication with stakeholders to create visibility regarding risks and trade-offs related to your work.
• Balance speed and quality in your work to ensure business goals are met while maintaining system integrity.
• Participate in growth and development activities to foster a sense of community within your team.
• Write clear, well-tested, and extensible code that interacts with multiple software components.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to write clear and maintainable code.
• Experience with debugging and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
• A proactive approach to personal growth and seeking feedback from peers and managers.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Git and other version control systems.
• Experience in a collaborative software development environment.
• Knowledge of various programming languages and frameworks.
