Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our remote team at Mercor. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products through automated testing. What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to fill test gaps.
• Manage contingent engineers to ensure high output volume and quality.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and product engineering teams to enable automated testing.
• Drive project goals by tracking status, escalating risks, and finding solutions.
• Advocate for high quality within the organization by escalating issues and emphasizing the importance of testing.
• Design and implement high-quality automated tests to verify release readiness and product quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in developing and analyzing technical automated test frameworks and infrastructure.
• 2+ years of coding experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++, or equivalent languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of experience building automation strategies and estimating test efforts.
• Experience in planning, tracking, and controlling test environments and data.
• Experience writing test automation code and frameworks for complex scenarios.
• Familiarity with various types of automation testing: Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, Contract, and End-to-End.
• Experience reviewing QA procedures and improving efficiency.
