SOC Operations Analyst - Remote Cybersecurity Role

About the Role

We are seeking a SOC Operations Analyst to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in a remote capacity. This role is crucial for monitoring and securing our computer networks against potential threats. As a SOC Operations Analyst, you will be at the forefront of cybersecurity, investigating incidents and ensuring the integrity of our systems.

What You'll Do

• Monitor computer networks for security issues and respond to incidents.
• Investigate security breaches and document findings.
• Work with the security team to perform penetration testing and uncover vulnerabilities.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain high-security standards.
• Recommend best practices for IT security and implement security measures.
• Conduct analysis and create forensically sound duplicates of files.
• Decrypt data and provide technical summaries.
• Perform real-time cyber defense tasks to support Incident Response Teams.

Requirements

• Top Secret Clearance with the ability to sit for the CI Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Microsoft Sentinel.
• Certifications such as GIAC Continuous Monitoring (GMON) or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are preferred.

• Experience with forensic analysis and incident response.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to relocate to Huntsville, AL, with relocation assistance available.
