Senior Women's Accessories Designer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Women's Accessories Designer to join our growing team. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of women's accessories, primarily focusing on handbags. As a key player in our design team, you will be responsible for shaping the creative direction and ensuring the successful launch of innovative accessory collections.

What You'll Do

• Design seasonal handbag collections from concept through production.
• Establish handbags as the anchor category for accessories design direction.
• Conceptualize materials, silhouettes, trims, and hardware.
• Develop design concepts that align with the overall product direction.
• Create and maintain detailed design files, specs, and tech documentation.
• Participate in sample reviews and prototype evaluations.
• Partner cross-functionally throughout the development process.
• Conduct trend, market, and material research relevant to accessories.
• Support and guide a junior team member.
• Present design work to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of accessories design experience.
• Proven expertise in handbag or leather goods design.
• Strong understanding of materials, construction, and functionality.
• Ability to design custom hardware and trims.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

• Background in lifestyle or contemporary accessories.
• Experience working within lean design teams.
