Senior Software Engineer - Healthcare Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Intelerad, where we are dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes through innovative medical imaging solutions. This Senior Software Engineer remote position will allow you to lead the development of our InSight PACS Viewer web applications, ensuring that physicians can access critical imaging information quickly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of features in the InSight PACS Viewer web applications.
• Conduct security analysis and implement necessary remedial measures.
• Drive improvements to application performance and help define the technical architecture.
• Champion the use of automated tools for testing and validation.
• Participate in code maintenance, bug resolution, and cross-functional quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• BSc/BEng in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on web-based applications.
• Expertise in developing single-page applications using Typescript, React, SCSS & WebPack.
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with TDD/Unit Testing, specifically using Jest.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a regulated industry such as Finance, Legal, or Healthcare.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL or Sybase.
• Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
• Membership in professional bodies such as BCS.
