Senior VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will leverage your extensive expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation to support enterprise-scale projects, working closely with a team of senior architects. This position focuses on technical execution rather than architecture ownership, allowing you to make a significant impact on our clients' success.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and implement VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
  • Deploy and configure VMware Aria Automation along with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Perform hands-on configuration, upgrades, migrations, and day-2 operational tasks for VCF environments.
  • Develop and execute automation scripts and orchestration workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in enterprise VMware infrastructures.
  • Collaborate closely with senior architects and other consultants to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Stay current with VMware technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on VMware experience in enterprise environments, focusing on implementation, migration, and execution.
  • 1–3+ years of practical experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
  • Hands-on implementation experience with VCF 9 is highly preferred; VCF Lab or POC experience will be considered.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills, including VMware Aria Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack).
  • Solid enterprise VMware infrastructure background, including vSAN Storage and VMware NSX.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-oriented consulting setting.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes, VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), and Tanzu.
  • Advanced NSX experience.
