About the Role

Elastic is searching for a Senior UX Design Manager to join our innovative team. In this remote role, you will lead the design and evolution of Elastic.co, our flagship website, which is crucial for product discovery and user engagement. As a Senior UX Design Manager, you will have the opportunity to create impactful user experiences that leverage our advanced search AI technology.

What You'll Do

  • Design and enhance scalable web experiences across Elastic.co, focusing on reusable components and design patterns.
  • Lead the UX design process from discovery to delivery, utilizing a structured approach like the Double Diamond framework.
  • Define interaction behaviors and ensure accessibility considerations are integrated into designs.
  • Apply strong UX fundamentals to enhance clarity, usability, and consistency across all user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure design fidelity and alignment throughout the development process.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation and specifications for design patterns to facilitate team adoption.
  • Identify and mitigate design debt by consolidating and improving existing components.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, particularly with component-driven web design.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your UX and UI craft, including examples of reusable patterns and usability-driven designs.
  • Expertise in core UX principles, interaction design, and user flows.
  • Proficiency in visual design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SEO-informed UX practices.
  • Experience with B2B or enterprise products.
  • Exposure to usability testing and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior designers.
