Senior UI/​UX Web Designer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Web Designer to join our dynamic team at Blacksmith Agency. This remote UI/UX Web Designer position offers the opportunity to create innovative and engaging website designs that incorporate state-of-the-art interactions across various industry sectors. You will lead the full design lifecycle—from initial concept and wireframing to final layout and collaboration with developers to translate client requests into visually stunning, interactive digital experiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead the entire design process, including conceptualization, wireframing, storyboarding, and final layout creation for both mobile and desktop platforms.
• Apply current design trends and modern branding styles to develop compelling brand narratives and digital products.
• Ensure pixel-perfect designs by obsessively attending to details.
• Identify user needs through research and insights, translating them into innovative website features and workflows.
• Communicate the purpose and rationale behind designs clearly to internal teams and clients.
• Create cutting-edge designs for a diverse client base across various industries and company sizes.
• Advocate for user-centered design practices and demonstrate their value to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with strategy and business development teams to identify new opportunities and contribute to sales pursuits.
• Manage high-end projects with confidence, utilizing visual skills and professional collaboration to motivate team members and incorporate feedback.
• Iterate designs based on critiques to achieve polished, high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• 5+ years of website design experience.
• Proficiency with Figma.
• Experience with Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Sketch (preferred).
• A strong portfolio showcasing elegant and innovative web design projects.
• Motion design experience (a plus).
• Prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Nice to Have

• Experience in creating motion graphics.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards in web design.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
