Senior Technical Lead - AI-Driven Mobile Applications

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to join AppNation, a leader in AI-powered mobile applications. This Senior Technical Lead remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our technical vision and execution while working on innovative products that impact millions of users worldwide. As a hands-on leader, you will guide the development cycle across Backend, Mobile, Frontend, and QA, ensuring high-performance products that align with our business growth.

What You'll Do

• Technical Strategy: Define and drive the engineering vision, architecture, and technology roadmap across all products.
• Lead by Example: Set a high bar for quality. Get into the code, review high-impact PRs, and demonstrate what great engineering looks like.
• AI-First Development: Standardize the use of tools like Cursor and integrate the latest AI workflows into our daily development cycle.
• Team & Cycle Leadership: Manage the development cycle across Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and QA, owning the full lifecycle from hiring to performance.
• Technical Excellence, Security & Compliance: Monitor and optimize our entire stack, ensuring security and compliance with global regulations.
• Efficiency & Velocity: Design workflows that maximize team speed and remove bottlenecks.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Data, and AI leaders to align technical efforts with business goals.
• Executive Communication: Maintain clear communication with founders and leadership.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science; 8+ years in software development with 2+ years of proven engineering leadership.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems that handle millions of concurrent users.
• Deep expertise in Node.js, event-driven architectures, microservices, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Practical experience with Flutter or native iOS/Android.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Active practitioner of AI tools with a commitment to emerging LLM trends.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• A mindset of ownership, valuing direct feedback and high standards.
