Senior Systems Engineer - Robotics Deployment (Remote)

About the Role

Join Amazon's Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team as a Senior Systems Engineer - Robotics Deployment. In this remote role, you will be at the forefront of deploying innovative industrial robotics across North America's fulfillment network. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the deployment of leading-edge technologies that enhance customer fulfillment processes.

What You'll Do

• Oversee large-scale project planning, installation, and launch of industrial automation technologies across Amazon's growing Stores network.
• Deploy robotic equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, network configurations, and software coordination.
• Act as the lead on-site project manager, providing technical oversight on installations of Amazon-designed automation equipment.
• Manage multiple simultaneous deployments of a single technology across various sites or oversee multi-technology deployments within a single site.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment cycle time, safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience.
• 1+ years of experience in at least two programming languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, or Bash/Shell.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with complex electro-mechanical and network systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems and resolve escalations effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) or DevOps.
• Familiarity with configuration management systems like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of industrial systems engineering and robotics.
