About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer Manager to join our team at Northrop Grumman, where you will have the chance to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. What You'll Do
- Manage a team of approximately 10 engineers within the Test Equipment for Space Technologies organization.
- Balance functional oversight and technical program work, dedicating 85% of your time to hands-on engineering tasks.
- Support employee performance and career development through guidance and training.
- Engage in electrical/mechanical engineering and integration and test (I&T) technical work.
- Oversee staffing, employee development, and performance evaluations.
- Implement departmental vision and strategies while ensuring effective communication flow-down.
- Review and approve timesheets and expense reports.
- Develop and maintain engineering processes to enhance team efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading an engineering team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering process.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in engineering.
- Experience with advanced sensor systems such as RADAR, EO/IR, and Passive RF payloads.
- Experience with Space Payloads and/or Space Vehicles.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
