Senior Systems Engineer - Infrastructure for Web3

About the Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Etherscan, you will play a crucial role in scaling our infrastructure to support the exponential growth of our platforms. This position is essential for maintaining the uptime of services relied upon by millions of blockchain users globally. You will also be responsible for protecting our infrastructure from frequent and inventive attacks, ensuring that our systems remain secure and operational.

What You'll Do

• Build, deploy, and monitor infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor the uptime of all services and ensure they are running in a scalable manner.
• Harden all security policies of our infrastructure to prevent services from being affected by malicious attacks.
• Administer multiple cloud servers from providers like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and dedicated servers.
• Configure tools and write scripts that monitor each service and alert of errors or failures.
• Prepare and update disaster recovery plans in the event of failures.
• Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field as a Systems Engineer.
• Required skills include Network Security, IIS, Cloud Computing, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DNS, DevOps, scripting, command-line proficiency, Windows Server, Linux, Network Monitoring, and Cloudflare.
• Preferably a Senior Executive specialized in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of systems infrastructure, DNS, network administration, and security.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Trustworthy, accountable, and quick to assist when issues arise.
• Extra points if you are passionate and knowledgeable about Ethereum.
