Senior Systems Administrator - Remote Opportunity in India

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join Shield AI, a deep-tech company focused on protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. This remote Senior Systems Administrator position is based in India and plays a crucial role in supporting our AI Hive entity. You will be the local IT operational lead, ensuring that our infrastructure aligns with global standards while providing essential support to our engineering teams.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary IT support contact for AI Hive India employees, delivering high-quality service desk support.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including device imaging, provisioning, and account setup.
• Image, configure, and deploy laptops across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Maintain local servers and coordinate hardware replacements, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Support hardware refresh cycles and large-scale rollouts, working closely with vendors for procurement and repairs.
• Provide Linux workstation and engineering endpoint support, ensuring seamless connectivity for engineering teams.
• Execute work plans defined by U.S. CIO and collaborate across time zones to enhance operational efficiency.
• Generate reports for operational and compliance needs, maintaining accurate inventory tracking.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in systems administration or enterprise IT support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune or JAMF.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while aligning with globally defined standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting engineering or R&D teams.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or development collaboration tools.
• Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• ITIL knowledge or certifications.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
