About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer - Ads Remote to join Reddit's innovative Ads team. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape how we monetize the Reddit platform while connecting Redditors with brands they love. With over 100,000 active communities and approximately 121 million daily active users, this role is pivotal in driving advertiser growth on our platform.

What You'll Do

• Lead cross-functional teams to enhance Reddit's business model, addressing the needs of various customers, including SMBs and Agencies.
• Architect the technical roadmap for our ads platform, ensuring a robust foundation that aligns with our strategic goals.
• Build and launch ambitious projects, including the future version of the ads manager and business hub.
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and proactive problem-solving.
• Work closely with product management, design, data science, and sales teams to deliver impactful results.
• Continuously evolve your technical and non-technical skills, staying updated on industry trends.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
• Expertise in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, Scala, Java, or C++.
• Strong leadership skills to navigate complex problems and align stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to influence decisions and drive consensus.
• A bias for action, demonstrating initiative and ownership in your work.

• Experience with experimentation and data-informed decision making.
• Familiarity with API development and integrations.
• Understanding of the Ads industry trends and best practices.
