About the Role
Woolf is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their remote engineering team. This is a full-time position that allows you to work from anywhere in the world. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in building the first global collegiate university that enables qualified organizations to sponsor accredited member colleges and launch new degree programs. Your expertise will help us increase access to world-class higher education and ensure that it is globally recognized and transferable.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable software solutions to support innovative educational programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Utilize your strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) languages to develop high-quality code.
- Work on system design, including databases, distributed systems, and service architectures (REST/gRPC).
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and leverage related tools/platforms to streamline development processes.
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or others).
- Implement observability tools such as logging, metrics, or tracing platforms to enhance system performance.
- Explore and integrate GenAI coding tools and agentic workflows into the development process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in a product-startup environment.
- Strong proficiency in OOP languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with system design, databases, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of observability tools and practices.
- Active GitHub profile showcasing your work and contributions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
