Senior Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity in Cybersecurity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Keyfactor. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in Germany or Sweden, with occasional office visits in Aachen or Stockholm. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining software applications, ensuring high code quality and implementing innovative features.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain software features within the Software Appliance Team in Aachen.
• Conduct code reviews and pull requests, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and practices.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development processes.
• Participate in internal and external product support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in IT Security, PKI, and open-source software.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Python, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and SQL is a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
• Ability to lead complex projects and drive technical improvements.
• Deep understanding of software architecture principles and continuous integration practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Embedded Software development.
• Familiarity with Linux networking.
• Knowledge of design patterns and architectural skills.
