Your impact as a Senior Software Engineer remote will be pivotal in shaping the future of our Retail Operations Experience platform — a mission-critical system that supports over 1,000 retail stores and underpins our entire retail gaming ecosystem. You’ll lead the charge in transforming legacy systems into a unified, real-time, high-performance back-office platform that streamlines everything from slot machine and SSBT (self-service betting terminal) data to financial tracking and store operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Owning the entire product lifecycle, from concept and proposal to release and ongoing maintenance.
• Leveraging modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, Vite, PNPM, AWS, Kubernetes, and more.
• Mentoring teammates to ensure efficient, high-quality task execution and delivery.
• Driving initiatives to enhance the developer experience, improving workflows and collaboration.
• Optimising build processes and tooling to boost team productivity.
• Utilising best-in-class tools, including Notion, Jira Cloud, GitHub, Zoom, Lattice, and Slack.

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript skills and experience with Node.js (Fastify preferred) and ideally React or any one of the JS Frameworks.
• Understanding of multi-tenant architecture and scalable system design.
• Enjoys analysing existing systems, researching improvements, and collaborating with product teams and stakeholders.
• Writes comprehensive, effective tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Experience working with design systems (e.g., Ant Design, Material Design, Bootstrap).
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality products.

Nice to Have

• Betting/gaming industry experience.
• Developing back-office applications like dashboards and CRUD systems with complex data models.
• Building apps with high-frequency, low-latency data changes.
