Senior Software Developer - Kotlin Multiplatform Tooling (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Kotlin Multiplatform Tooling team at JetBrains. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to the development of innovative tools that empower Android developers. As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Android tooling for Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose within IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio.

What You'll Do

• Improve our Android tooling for Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose inside IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio.
• Help make the Android plugin available for IntelliJ IDEA.
• Write high-quality code and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and improve test automation to maintain quality.
• Engage actively in team discussions, decisions, and planning sessions.

Requirements

• Strong professional background in developing real-world Android applications.
• Excellent programming skills in Kotlin or Java, with a thorough understanding of algorithms, data structures, and thread-safe programming.
• Deep understanding of the Android ecosystem and community.
• Proficient communication and collaboration skills in English.
