Senior Scrum Master - Remote Opportunity for Air Force Programs
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master remote to join KBR’s National Security Solutions team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead Agile practices and methodologies that support the U.S. Air Force Acquisition Programs. Your work will have a profound impact on national security, making this a vital position within our organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Scrum team in utilizing Agile methodology and Scrum practices effectively.
- Assist the product owner and development team to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate self-organization within the Scrum and development teams.
- Identify and remove impediments, coaching the Scrum team on overcoming challenges.
- Engage with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and provide updates to government and contractor teams.
- Build, maintain, and support Jira and Confluence Boards to enhance project visibility.
- Help the Scrum team achieve higher levels of Scrum maturity and resolve conflicts that arise.
- Support the product owner by providing necessary education and resources.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, specifically in Air Force acquisition programs or similar DoD systems.
- Security Clearance: Secret clearance with Top Secret, SCI Eligibility.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience with Jira and/or GitLab, and Confluence.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to analyze and think quickly to resolve conflicts.
- Experience with successful Agile techniques and knowledge of Scrum frameworks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused amidst distractions.
Nice to Have
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Special Access and/or SCI programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently or as a team member.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical project teams.
