Senior RPG AS/​400 Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior RPG AS/400 Developer to join our team remotely in Mexico. This role is crucial for the success of our long-term enterprise project in the Healthcare sector, focusing on application development, maintenance, and production support on IBM i environments. As a Senior RPG AS/400 Developer, you will work closely with internal teams and business stakeholders to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
• Utilize RPGLE and CL in enterprise environments effectively.
• Handle batch jobs, job scheduling, debugging, and job servicing.
• Provide production support and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Work with DB2 for SQL for database design and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Healthcare Provider & Payer applications.
• Interact with internal teams and clients to provide technical solutions.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and manage concurrent support activities efficiently.
• Participate in on-call support rotation (weekends from home).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in RPG / RPGLE development.
• Strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) application development and maintenance.
• Solid experience handling Batch Jobs, debugging, and job servicing.
• Experience with Job Scheduling tools (Schedule M, Robo, RBO or similar).
• Strong knowledge of DB2 for SQL and database design.
• Working knowledge of CL programming environment.
• Experience providing Production Support in enterprise environments.
• Experience working with ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar).
